Running With Scissors (2017)

A film that takes footage from cutting two rolls of 100' 16mm Tri-X Reversal Film. One from Thanksgiving morning (Nov 23 2017) at the annual Feaster Five Road Race in my hometown; and the other from a walk and run with Meh Dee Whittington in Providence, Rhode Island. All sounds were taken from the Star-Spangled Banner sung by a young girl every year before the race begins. This film concerns the terror and consequences of displaying oneself as femme and the heedlessness of the privileged public who allow a culture of violence.
