Media and the Body (2016)

A series of paintings that reduce and abstract actual bodies so their identities are instead reduced to and deduced by the fragmented images within the reflection. This series is a reflection on how social media has changed the perceptions of people, how their fragmented and curated images form the impressions that come sometimes even before the first meeting. These images also often form the sexual perceptions of femme people, changing the way the real people and abstract shapes are seen.
